INTRODUCTION TO THE INSTITUTE

The Dato Leadership Institute offers coaching and consulting to business and professional clients. Our psychoanalytic coaching methodology addresses the personal and professional challenges that our clients face during their careers. Clients in our programs learn how to significantly increase their perceptual, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional power, and how to become successful transferential leaders. Clients report that as a result of enhanced power and leadership abilities, their performance, productivity, and profitability improves. COACHING & CONSULTING PROGRAMS


Programs are goal directed and customized for each client. Key program components include: (1) Weekly coaching sessions, or biweekly consulting sessions; (2) Needs assessment before each session; (3) Written materials relevant to Functional Coaching; (4) Brief phone and/or email consultations between sessions. Programs are completed when the goals of the client have been achieved to his or her complete satisfaction. Programs are held at the Institute for our local clients, and by phone for our national and international clients. Local clients may choose to work exclusively by phone. Coaching and consulting is conducted by Dr. Robert Dato.

HOW TO ENROLL IN THE INSTITUTE


The enrollment process begins with your call to the Institute.  A free one-hour Initial Interview will be scheduled. This interview may be held either at the Institute or by phone. The interview has three objectives: the first objective is to review the Institute contract; the second objective is to list and prioritize goals; the third objective is to assess mutual compatibility and comfort. If the terms of our contract are acceptable to you, if you present goals related to leadership development, and if sufficient compatibility and comfort mutually exist, you will be invited to begin your program. Your decision may be made immediately, or after further consideration.


ABOUT OUR FOUNDER


Dr. Robert Dato founded the Institute in 1974 and has worked with business and professional leaders for the past thirty-four years. He earned a Doctorate and Board Certification in Psychoanalysis. He is an active member of the Psychoanalytic Coaches Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association, the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis, the International Stress Management Association, and the American Counseling Association. Dr. Dato is the author of three books that are relevant to coaching and consulting: Dimensions of the Mind, Strategic Stress Management, and Tao Te Ching: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times.
